Yes, we’re adding the most requested feature in Codecks’ history!
Dark Mode

Codecks has always featured a mix of light and dark design elements, but we heard you loud and clear and are embracing the dark side fully!
And since we had to touch thousands of UI elements to make this happen, we took the opportunity to give them a complete facelift too!
You’ll discover improved text boxes, more consistent buttons, and polished tweaks all over the place that bring everything up to our latest design standards.
You can set your preferred display mode by going into your user settings: Mission Control → Profile → “light”, “dark”, “system”.

We’re defaulting everyone to system mode, so if your OS is already using dark mode, Codecks will automatically match it. No extra setup required!
Vision Board Gets Even Better
Our Vision Board beta launched in the last release, and we’re nowhere near done implementing the full potential of this feature. The response has been so positive that we’re now enabling it by default for everyone!
Here are all the new updates
- Create Cards directly from the vision board. Just add a card node and use the new “Create New” dialogue to spawn cards right from your vision board.
- We refined the color options for text boxes
- Fixed that annoying crash when resizing or moving nodes while scrolling
- No more duplicate nodes when copy-pasting containers
Smart nodes now instantly reflect when cards are marked as started or not-started
- Cards in table view and card nodes now work the same way. First click selects, second click opens
- Fixed crash when opening a card’s history in the vision board
- Archiving or deleting a Card now also removes the contained vision board from the vision board picker
More Improvements and Fixes
- Card Creation: Fixed “Create another Card” behavior when selected Deck has content defined via a Template Card
- Tags: Allow using / within project tags
- Beast Mode: Auto-Beast mode can now be set properly again
- Importer: Imported decks did not have a stable sort order; re-ordering now results in the desired outcome
- Discord/Slack: Comments referring to Cards via $ now expand the title of the Card if the target Card is in the same project as the notification’s Card
- Discord: Ensure to show Discord as Conversation participant again on Cards created via Decky
- Journey: Shortcuts to set effort or priority via hovering the mouse over the icon and hitting a number now work on all elements
- Card Creation: Prevent issue where an unknown sprint caused a Card to not be saved
- Open Card: Prevent the time tracking icon from briefly showing on organizations with time tracking disabled
- Hand Overlay: Fix issue where Cards do not show up in the “Not in Hand” area if multiple Cards were removed
- Swimlanes: Dragging cards to another swimlane while sorting by “State” is possible again
- Hero Card: When adding a sub card to a started card, the Card will be unstarted, preventing the creation of a blue, started Hero Card
- User Report: Ensure that file sizes are correctly shown for non-image files
- Milestone Stats: Progress bar now correctly considers archived done cards when the progress is recalculated
As always, we’d love to hear how dark mode is treating your eyes and how the Vision Board improvements are working for your team.
Keep that feedback coming, it’s what drives us to make Codecks even better!
